Joe Torre showed why he is loved by his fans and respected by his rivals at today's press conference. He's just a master at handling the media and is able to express everything on his mind in a diplomatic way. He didn't point fingers and didn't demean anybody although us fans think some people deserve it! A leader like Joe is very rare in any type of organization. He's always calm, can solve the worst conflicts peacefully, can stitch together teamwork from unmatched pieces. Whenever Joe Torre is on camera, it's not just about baseball. He's teaching us how to be good people. If he's not managing for the Yankees, someone should hire him for a more important job.., and I'm not talking about sports. Someone with Joe's personality and ability would be perfect for UN diplomat. I think this guy can get Bush and Bin Laden to shake hands. God help us if he ends up managing an American League rival.
