I was hoping the Yankees would finish the series last night in Game 5. That would've made Jimmy Rollins' prediction half right at least. Cliff Lee was great again, though I thought the the Yankees did a better job of wearing him out. They didn't swing at the first pitch like they did in Game 1. By the 7th inning, he was starting to get tired as the Yankees started hitting and almost mounting a comeback. The pitching just wasn't there last night as AJ was already taken out in the 3rd inning .
On the bright side of things, stretching to a Game 6 means the Yankees have a chance to close this out at home where they're used to winning. The city's going to go nuts if they do it. It's also a storybook matchup between Andy Pettitte, the man with the rings and Pedro Martinez, the enemy. Both guys are veterans and have pitched in big games.
