One More to Go!

Last night's game is going to be a classic if the Yankees can finish this thing off. It was a close game throughout. The Yankees scored first in what looked like a great start in the first inning (2-0). CC was shaky from the beginning though and already gave one run back in the bottom of the inning (2-1). The big guy didn't pitch a nice looking game, but he was still able to keep the runs down and got himself out of jams with his strikeout skills. The Yankees had a 4-3 lead into the 8th, but the Phillies chipped away and got one off of Joba with 2 outs left. Joba was looking good until that one mistake, as he easily struck out the first 2 batters. But the Yankees came up big in the 9th... also with 2 outs. Damon had a great at bat, fouling off pitch after pitch until he got one to hit. He then stole 2nd and to everyone's surprise ran ahead and also took 3rd! It looked like a little league play, but it was heads-up base running by a veteran. He took advantage of the defensive shift. The Phillies had all players beefing up the right side of the field to prepare for Teixiera. A-Rod eventually knocked Damon in from third for yet another game winning RBI. Posada gave them 2 more insurance runs, but that was all they needed as Rivera came in and closed out the 9th.

Game 5 will be tough as Burnett will be matched up against the almost unhittable Lee. Also, if he gets into a jam, I'm sure the Phillies will have everyone available as their back is against the wall.
