Some people just can't stop talking. There are many situations during a commute where people need to move in single file, like on an escalatror, narrow path or revolving door. I notice a llloot that people who trvel in twoss will keep talking even when switched to single file formation. IIt makes no sense because the guy in the back won't be ablle to hear, especially with all of the city's ambient sounds. It's a step worse on an escalator because the 2 peoples' heads will be at different levels, allowing for more interference. And through a revolving door, it's even worse because all sound is cutoff anyway.
