Conflicting Feelings

The Angels wrapped up their ALDS series against the Red Sox this afternoon to complete the 3-game sweep. As a Yankees fan, I wanted the Red Sox to win just because historically, the Yankees have had an easier time with them while the Angels are like their kryptonite. However, because I hate the Red Sox, I found myself getting excited at times as the Angels mounted a comeback from 5-0. They slowly chipped away and were down 6-4 in the 9th with 2 outs... no one on base. Aybar hit a single. Figgins got walked and then former Yankee, Bobby Abreu brought LA to within 1 with a double. Hunter was walked to get to the slumping Guerrero... big mistake. We hit a 2-run single to put LA in the lead for good. This was all off of the hated Papelbon, who never given up a postseason run before. He gets tagged with a blown save, the loss and a fishing trip for his team! See what I mean? It's hard not to get excited!

I'm watching the Yankees game now. Hopefully they can wrap it up today also... don't want to give LA extra rest time.
