Pax's Assurance

Bryant Rejected by Bulls"First of all, you can’t make a deal where you gut your team for one player where all of a sudden you don’t know if you’re any better or not. You can’t do that. Really, the ideal thing for us, if we’re going to make a significant move as a team, is to make a trade for a guy that fits."
- John Paxson

That was Bull's General Manager, John Paxson addressing the media today regarding the organization's stand on the Kobe Bryant & Kevin Garnett issues. After that, I can breath easy about keeping the Bull's core players intact. It's way too risky to deplete the starting line up for one guy. The Bull's are just one player away from a championship. They need to find the right missing piece. A Bryant or a Garnett would mean swapping out 4 or 5 effective pieces... not too smart. The Bulls also don't need to worry about selling tickets. They've been #1 in attendance for the past few years. So I'm happy where we are right now. We'll see what happens during the draft this Thursday and if there will be other players going through musical chairs.
